Voluntary Recall: Lexi’s Hot Vegan Reuben Sandwich

We have identified that Lexi's Hot Vegan Reuben Sandwich, sold at the Elmwood Co-op between Wednesday, 1/15/25, and Friday, 1/17/25, was made with the incorrect bread. Unfortunately, this bread contained whey, which was not declared on the product’s ingredient label or allergen statement (MILK). Additionally, as whey is a milk by-product, the sandwich does not meet vegan standards.

We sincerely apologize for this error and any inconvenience it may have caused. We know our owners trust us to provide accurate labeling to support your dietary choices and values. That trust is incredibly important to us, and we’ve already put steps in place to ensure this does not happen again.
