Back by popular demand, we are hosting yet another Challah braiding class this month!

Join us at our Hertel cafe in celebration of Rosh Hashanah and learn to braid Challah bread with our Baker, Courtney! 👩🏻‍🍳. Participants will take home a complimentary loaf of challah bread.

Challah (pronounced like haa·luh) is an egg-rich yeast-leavened bread that is usually braided or twisted before baking and is traditionally eaten by Jews on the Sabbath and holidays.

Rosh Hashanah, the celebration of the Jewish New Year, is observed from October 2nd - October 4th this year. In honor of the celebration, our talented baker, Courtney, will show you how to braid challah bread. We will provide the dough and the ropes needed for braiding. Participants will also take home some recipes for baking challah at home plus other recipes for serving challah, like french toast!

Participants will:

🕎Practice different braids on ropes

🕎Braid pre-made dough to take home and bake (instructions will be given)
