Why Start Canning?
• Canning is the ideal way to preserve the LOCAL harvest and savor the flavors all year long! Purchasing from local farmers during peak season is just one small way we can all help build a strong local food system!
• It’s easy! Plus, the co-op makes it even easier with canning classes, step by step instructions and all the supplies you need.
• Canning is not only economical but its environmentally friendly. When you buy LOCAL produce in bulk and pack it away in reusable glass jars the benefits of canning start racking up!

Virtual Canning Classes
We’ll be holding virtual canning classes online through Zoom for $10, just $7 for owners. Take a peek inside our master canning teacher Kathy Manley’s home kitchen — she’ll demonstrate canning recipes (using the local bounty!) that you can recreate after class.
We’ll send you the recipes in advance so you can gather ingredients, review the steps and prepare questions to ask the instructor. Afterward, we’ll share a recorded version of the class for you to reference anytime you want. Check out what we have coming up!
Space in each class is limited – register today!
